Breaking me & thee news on Vance Gilbert
 by Kathy S-B  ·  28 September 2006

Eagle-eyed me & thee goers may notice that Vance Gilbert has slipped off our spring schedule. No fear! This show WILL be rescheduled.

You may or may not be aware that Vance has been touring with comedian, George Carlin, over the past year or so. I’m sure that Vance has been tickling the funny bones of Hippy Dippy Weatherman’s fans and delighting them with his wonderful songs. What a great combination of talents on tour together. Anyway, Vance has been offered some more great opportunities to tour with George so we’ve agreed to reschedule Vance’s show at the me & thee.

Angels, Castles, Covers album cover

By the way, check out Vance’s brand new CD “Angels, Castles, Covers” which is a fantastic collection of songs that have inspired Vance over the years. A big KSB call-out to the fact that Vance covered a Todd Rundgren song “It Wouldn’t Have Made Any Difference.” (See my homage to TR in an earlier blog article.) A huge round of applause for a man with great taste! A highlight of this CD is the very first cut “Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing” in which Vance duets with Lori McKenna. Brilliant rendition. Pure brilliance.

Watch for more information about a rescheduled show as it becomes available.
