Connie Kaldor

Connie Kaldor is well-known as an extraordinary performer and has even been named a member of the Order of Canada, Canada’s highest civilian honor. It is given to individuals for “a lifetime of outstanding achievement, dedication to the community and service to the nation.” Connie’s songs give listeners a glimpse into the landscape and people of the Canadian prairies but are also reminders about how home is where the heart is, no matter where we reside. Her repertoire is witty as well as serious and her versatility and talent know no bounds. Connie is not only a musician but a children’s book author, actress, writer, TV show host, and podcaster.

Kaldor grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan and was immersed in music from an incredibly young age. Her influences range from The Beatles to Patsy Kline. After college graduation, she moved to Toronto to pursue theatre as her chosen field but within a few years she opted to follow her passion to songwriting and performing. She has since produced sixteen albums and has played all over North America at small clubs, theatres, and festivals. Lately Connie has been playing with her sons, Gabriel and Aleksi Campagne, who literally grew up on stage along with their mother and their father, Paul Campagne (member of the influential bands Folle Avoine and Hart Rouge). Expect a dash of everything at the Me&Thee show — each song will present a new sonic palette to suit everyone’s taste.

A suggested donation for this Connie Kaldor show is $20. All are welcome to watch this concert on May 14 at 8:00 p.m. Just tune into the Me&Thee YouTube channel or Facebook page (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZbIOGrt1TI | https://www.facebook.com/meandtheecoffeehouse/live/).

  • . . . quirky, often wickedly funny Regina Leader-Post
  • Being asked to “like” Connie Kaldor is like asking a robin to like singing. Thanks for the music! Fan comment
  • If Big Skies and Bridesmaids’ Dresses is representative of the kind of online performances artists have been cooking up for us this fall, we may just survive this second wave of COVID both physically AND psychologically. . . .especially if we’ve got some jellied lime salad in the fridge.
